REV CLASSIC NPS RACE

The REV CLASSIC is 120km of top class racing. It is an open category race for the A grade cyclist with a current NZ racing licence. Registered commissaires will marshal the race. On course, support is from official vehicles only (REV support vehicle & registered trade teams). Both men's and women's races are competed for as individuals, although individuals can be part of a team.

2010 RABOPLUS NATIONAL POINTS SERIES
The RaboPlus National Points Series 2010 is New Zealand’s premier road cycling series. Open to all licensed riders it aims to find the top Men and Women domestic riders in New Zealand.

In addition to the prize money on offer in the REV Classic, riders are rewarded for their NPS placings at the end of the season. The top five places in the Open Men and Open Woman classes will win series trophies and the following:
1. $1500 in a RaboPlus savings account
2. $1000 in a RaboPlus savings account
3. $750 in a RaboPlus savings account
4. $500 in a RaboPlus savings account
5. $250 in a RaboPlus savings account

REV CLASSIC START
The REV CLASSIC starts at 11.00am (at the REV Village, Silverdale Rd).

TV COVERAGE
A TV show of the REV will be produced and screened soon after the race. Keep tuned for more details.

AGE REQUIREMENTS
The REV CLASSIC is a BikeNZ Tier 1 race and is part of the National Points Series (NPS). It is being run in accordance with CNZ/UCI Rules which state that Open Category races are only open to riders holding U19/ U23/ Elite/ Masters licences. All age categories are based around the riders age as at 31 December of the licencing year.

U17 riders who compete with open riders will lose their junior status and will therefore not be eligible to compete in junior races at National Championship events.

PRIZE
$10,000 Cash for the top 10 men and 5 women. The top cash prize will be minimum of $2,500 and is dependent on the amount of people in the mens and womens race (explanation).
